Sterling Creek Water Reclamation Facility

  • Greenfield construction of a 4.0 MGD Membrane Bio-reactor Wastewater Treatment Facility
  • State of the Art facility for a growing Georgia municipality which greatly improves the local wetlands and river systems

Bates served as the General Contractor on this 4.0 MGD MBR wastewater treatment facility.  Major work items for the project included the installation of concrete piling for all major structures, over 9000 CY of concrete placed for tankage and foundations, ductile iron, stainless steel and PVC piping systems, completely automated SCADA systems, 2 MW of emergency power generation, 4.0 MGD effluent pumping station, belt press facility, and 10,000 SF  multi-level control/laboratory/administrative facility.  Bates completed the project by self-performing all major piping systems, concrete form/place, and WWTP equipment installation.  Major subcontractor team members performed the piling installation, site grading, electrical and SCADA installation.
