- Provide extensive architectural, mechanical and electrical changes to support the addition of two data centers while maintaining existing operations and minimal interruptions.
- Provide tradespersons who can meet proper security clearances and perform work under escort.
Design/build project completed for USACE-Mobile District. Overall intent of the project was to provide major modernization to an existing government computing building including adding office space as well as creating new Tier 3 data center rooms on two different floors. Scope of work included selective demolition on several floors of the facility and hazardous substance abatement. New work included constructing walls, rooms and doorways and creating new open office workspace with new workstations and secure conference room(SCIF). To create the workspaces, FFE, lighting, wall coverings and flooring were updated. Secure data center rooms were created in two areas of the building complete with new IDS/ACS, water cooling and CRAC units, and electrical systems capable of Tier 3 Data Center support. All construction work was performed in an occupied facility that required extensive coordination and phasing efforts with the building user and 100% escort for all construction tradespersons.
