- Extensive mechanical, electrical and security upgrades to an existing Tier 3 Data Center
- Mechanical: Install new 400 Ton Chiller and major replacement of chilled water infrastructure at multiple existing chillers
- Electrical: Two new 3.2 MW Electric Generators along with new switchgear and electrical houses to support emergency power system.
The Bates team was selected as the Prime Contractor to provide this major upgrade to an existing federal Tier 3 data center located in the Southern US. This project is unique due to the highly critical functions the data center serves in our nation’s digital infrastructure. All data center operations had to be maintained during the upgrades and a high level of security surrounded the project.
