Aircraft Maintenance Hangar

  • 100,000 SF Hangar that provides rotary wing maintenance functions for US Army
  • Design/Build contract with Bates serving as Prime Contractor/Lead Designer

Bates team was selected to provide turnkey design/build services on this maintenance hangar located in Alabama.  The facility consists of a 50,000 SF of hangar space; 40,000 SF of administrative and parts repair areas; and 10,000 SF of storage areas.  The build design was performed by Bates and its partners using Sustainable Design techniques while complying with base and user criteria.  The project features two large (30’ h x 60’ w) fabric doors and overhead cranes in the hangar area.
